Gossip : Sunderland Frazier offer accepted

The People are reporting that Sunderland are now favourites to sign Frazier Campbell after Steve Bruce has made a last ditch attempt to sign Frazier Campbell.
The Manchester United Youngster was widely expected to sign for Hull City, however with the deal stalling over his severance demands with Manchester United, Sunderland have seized the chance to make an offer which has been accepted by Manchester Utd.

Campbell will miss out on the European U21 cup final with suspension due to receiving a red card in extra time of the semi final against Sweden.

Campbell has been a fans favourite at the KC after he helped Hull City gain promotion to the Premier League, however he is now testing the fans patience as he appear to be holding out for better offers from other clubs and using Hull as a fall back offer.

If he does decide to go to Sun'lan', Sir Alex might not be happy... I would wait and see. The People have only said United have accepted an offer, it does not mean Campbell has agreed anything, very often clubs will accept a few offers for a player. I did hear that he'd verbally agreed personal terms with City but was, in effect, having a cooling off period before signing anything. If Campbell's agent, AKA his father, believes Sunderland will be a better deal for his son, then there's nothing City can do.

What ever will be will be. If he comes freat, if he chooses derland, we have £6M to spend on someone else. Perhaps SAF will feel sorry for us, and give us a decent loan or 2 for the season.

if he signs for sunderland i will urge all hull city fans to boo him when we play them. i am fed up of waiting and he obviously doesn't care how much we appreciated him. lets hope he is as big of a flop as he was at spurs....unless he changes his mind and joins us instead, but that is unlikely as nicky featherstone (a good friend of his) has said that he doesnt want to come to hull.

Seems the lad is a bid confused over how to improve his career - come to city and have a full season (as he would be first striker on the teamsheet) - or go to Sunderland and sit on the sidelines (yet again!!). You will never end up at Real Madrid (or prove Fergie wrong) if you sit on the bench gathering dust!!! Come to city for a few years, get some goals and a reputation as a match winner. Duh ... whats yer dad thinking about Fraiser!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thought this was a done deal for you

I'll be pretty miffed if he doesn't come to City. I don't think we should boo him but I would suggest that he isn't thinking clearly if he thinks he could have the same input or status elsewhere that he would get coming to the KC.

An extra 10k a week or a regular shirt in the BPL. Sadly kids of that age their heads are turned by money. Think his old man needs to have a word in his shell like he was well looked after at City and idolised by the fans.

Let's see if Sir Alex truly is a guiding light to campbell. The boy enjoyed his best professonal spell at City and not achieved a great deal elsewhere. His confidence will be greater at the KC, My only doubt is his temperament.

He's obviously stalling to keep all his options open. I say let's reduce his options by one, he's unproven at prem level anyway. Lucky escape for us!

I'm getting pretty miffed with the stalling now. Cut the deal on FC and Fortune and move on - if they want regular first team Premiership action they would have signed already - they obviously want more money or 'status' so lets move on (although sitting on the bench at West Ham doesn't appeal to me that much).
Basel Tiger
I really thought Hull would get Campbell, because he was a fans favoutite, but perhaps the fee was too high.
Buzz Lightyear
Stop being nieve, he was never a real fans favourite he was extremeley lucky that he rode the crest of a wave.6/7 million is far to much, he was ok in the championship (so was windass) unproven in the premiership, obviously to greedy with no loyalty. He wont come to us because hel be sussed within a month. No room for sentement in football , goto sunderland and dream about what should of being Frazer... the tiger nation will be fine without you and youre dad
