'If It's Football, It's Vital'

We chat to Vital Chelsea

Ahead of City`s visit to Stamford Bridge this Saturday, we speak with Gary Bacchus of Vital Chelsea.

We speak on Carlo Ancelotti, Chelsea`s transfer dealings to date and that game against Barcelona…Full interview below.

(1) What are your expectations this season?

We`re hoping to go all the way, it`s been three years since we`ve lifted the Premier League trophy and it`d kill us to see United win it for a fourth year on the trot. We`d also like a Champions League campaign whereby we`re not diddled by some dodgy referee but we can but hope!

(2) What are your views on Carlo Ancelotti - Is he the man to bring success to Chelsea?

We sincerely hope so! He`s arrived with a good club pedigree and he seems to have settled in well. Mind you, this time last season were we not saying the same things (almost) about Mr Scolari?

(3) Who have you brought in, and how do you see them improving your side?

We`ve signed Yuri Zhirkov for £18 million and he`ll add something extra. We`ve also signed Ross Turnbull (ex-Middlesbrough) and Daniel Sturridge (ex-Manchester Cit£h) but they`re more to ad depth to the squad than for an immediate impact.

(4) Have you agreed with the club's transfer dealings to date?

Hard to say! I`d like a real superstar to sign to make the tabloids choke but do we really need one? Last year we should have been in Rome to beat United but for a fool of a referee who couldn`t spot one clear cut penalty let alone four! Our squad is strong enough to compete with the best as it is!

(5) Who will be your key player this season?

Michael Essien! We missed him last year when he was out with a bad knee injury Was it coincidence that when he returned our season kicked started again?

(6) How do you think Hull City will do this season?

Now that is a serious question! If you continue where you finished last season, form wise, you are doomed. But Phil Brown started the season well, at one time in the running for manager of the year if you listen to some. All I`ll say is I reckon we`ll be having the same conversation next year ahead of a fixture between the two clubs So is that good news?

(7) A score prediction for Saturday's game?

You`re not going to like this - a Chelsea win, quite comfortably - possibly 3-1.

A big thanks to Gary at Vital Chelsea for answering our questions!

But how many games will they give Ancelotti if they are not winning - fickle bunch!!

You just worry about your own club Basel Tiger. Hull fans should consider themselves extremely lucky they're even in the Premier League this season. Based on that pathetic 2nd half of last season, you didn't deserve to stay up.

The season is based on 38 games....We got enough points to stay up so we deserved to stay up. The best result of the second half of the season was our draw at Chelsesa!
