Hull City confirm Barmby sacking

Hull City have officialy confimed that suspended manager Nick Barmby has seen his contract with Hull City terminated with immediate effect.

After a period of eight days in which Adam Pearson also saw his Hull City contract terminated, Vice-Chairman Ehab Allam has today released an official statement via the club`s official website, outlining the reasons for the dismissal of Nick Barmby.

Ehab Allam outlines that the reason behind Barmby`s suspension and eventual dismissal was due to "certain comments made by Nick in recent interviews," mainly relating to transfer activity during the January transfer window. Assem and Ehab Allam defended their stance recently, revealing that funds had been made available for Barmby to strengthen with the club in a strong position to challenge for promotion.

Ehab Allam continued that the search to fill the vacant managerial position will begin with immediate effect.
