A Hull City XI development squad were leading 3-0 against Bridlington Town this afternoon before the match was abandoned.
An injury to Bridlington Town striker Craig Hogg ten minutes from time enforced the abandonment of the fixture after Hogg needed medical attention after being hit by a Sonny Bradley clearance.
Prior to this, City had taken a three goal advantage. The development squad featured several youngsters on the verge of the first-team squad including Mark Cullen, Sonny Bradley, Danny East and Connor Townsend while former Tigers Craig Fagan and Bryan Hughes both made unexpected appearances having been training with City as they search for a new club.
It was a productive day for the two ex-Tigers with Hughes opening the scoring from a Lewis Clarkson assist before Craig Fagan converted a Mark Cullen cross shortly after being introduced as a second half substitute.
The third goal arrived from Mark Cullen as he spun to shoot past the Bridlington keeper before the match became insignificant as the health of Craig Hogg became the most pressing concern.
The development squad next play on Wednesday evening when they travel to Brigg Town. Vital Hull will provide Twitter updates from the game - You can follow us using the Twitter tabs below or by searching @VitalHull.
