Hull City complete Aluko signing
Hull City continued their summer transfer business when completing the free transfer of Sone Aluko yesterday.
Despite Aluko having a year remaining on his Ibrox deal, the forward opted to leave on a free after refusing to transfer his contract to Newco Rangers. Rangers` loss is to City`s gain as arguably one of the brightest prospects in the Scottish Premier League last season will now be playing at the KC Stadium.
Aluko, who has history of working with Steve Bruce when both were at Birmingham City, has signed a two year contract and could make his debut in the pre-season fixture at Rochdale on Saturday.
Newco Rangers will hope to earn compensation from the transfer but that is likely to take a long legal process, something with City will be confident of defending should the situation arise.
