After last week`s cup exploits against Rotherham United, Steve Bruce takes charge of his first league fixture as manager of The Tigers when Brighton & Hove Albion visit the KC this afternoon.
Bruce`s task of getting City off to a positive start, especially with two difficult away fixtures looming, has been made more difficult with injuries to first-choice striker Matty Fryatt (Achilles) and Andy Dawson, while former Rangers midfielder Sone Aluko is still awaiting international clearance before making his competitive City debut.
Corry Evans could be named in the eighteen man squad after recovering from injury while Brighton have been buoyed by the return of dangerous trio Crain Mackail-Smith, Kazenga Lua-Lua and Will Buckley, all of who could be Brighton`s match winner.
Last season, both games proved uneventful affairs with both home and away fixtures ending 0-0 as ultimately both teams missed out on their aim of a top six finish.
