Preview: Bristol City -Vs- Hull City
As with Tuesday night, Steve Bruce finds his Hull City side travelling to a side where the club very rarely comes away with three points.
Ashton Gate, a venue where City have won just once in their history is this evening`s late kick-off due to the Sky TV cameras, with Steve Bruce looking for a response following a tame 2-0 loss at Middlesbrough in midweek.
Bruce admitted post-match on Tuesday that his team selection was wrong, particularly in attack, and changes are expected. Sone Aluko and Jay Simpson look due to return to the first-team while Corry Evans could be introduced for extra energy in midfield, one of Olofinjana and McKenna to miss out. City wingback Joe Dudgeon looks to be sidelined for a number of months, meaning City will look to persist with a 4-4-2 formation with Andy Dawson at left-back.
City will be boosted by the return of Robert Koren although the Slovenian is unlikely to start and a place on the bench looks most likely.
Bristol City have struggled this season, particularly at home and following three defeats in succession, go into this fixture without Liam Fontaine. Neil Kilkenny and Marvin Elliott are also missing, but Stephen Pearson could return.
Bristol City have the worst defensive record in the division but The Tigers must overcome history and overturn the home side`s eighteen game unbeaten run at home to City.
Vital Hull Prediction: Bristol City 1 - 2 Hull City
