Preview: Hull City -Vs- Charlton Athletic

Hull City could move six points clear in second place today, should they overcome Charlton Athletic and Watford drop points at Birmingham City.

A midweek win over Derby County saw City take advantage of their postponed fixture, opening up a three point gap over Leicester City, who don`t play today.

Bruce may start with a 442 formation having changed at half-time against Derby County. Having seen debutant Gedo score and link well with Nick Proschwitz, both strikers could start in place of Jay Simpson and Robert Koren. Elsewhere, City have a strong side to choose from, with Abdoulaye Faye joining long-term absentees on the sidelines. Alex Bruce will come back into contention after missing out against Derby.

Charlton are 15th and apart from the absence of Danny Haynes, are free from suspension or injury for their visit to the KC Stadium.

Charlton hold the historical advantage over City. The Tigers have not won against their London opposition at home for 43 years and have only ever done so twice in sixteen meetings. However, Charlton have not kept a clean sheet in 11 outings and should City be able to convert the chances they will create, a win should follow.
