Hull City travel to London this evening to face Crystal Palace, looking to end an unbeaten home run that extends back to the opening day of the season.
Not since Watford took three points from Selhurst Park back in early August has anyone travelled to Crystal Palace and emerged with all three points, but given the league standings of both sides, Steve Bruce and his Hull City side will know the importance of taking all three this evening.
Only a win would see City be guaranteed to continue in their recently reclaimed second spot, with Watford having two home games whilst City face arguably their two tough fixtures on the road.
Steve Bruce will travel in good spirits after a 5-2 demolition of Birmingham City at the weekend with new signing George Boyd scoring a brace, and Gedo extending his record at home to five goals in four appearances. Bruce`s only injury concern is to his squad with Tom Cairney having injured a foot and not having travelled - Egyptian midfielder Fathi expected to replace Cairney on the bench.
Crystal Palace could move to within a point of The Tigers should they win. Palace are without Danny Gabbidon and Joel Ward but highly rated Wilfried Zaha should start, along with the league`s top scorer Glenn Murray. Jonathan Williams is also in contention to start.
Earlier in the season, the two sides played out a 0-0 draw, leaving both sides believing they should have won the game.
