Huddlestone & Ince On Pre Season Camp

Huddlestone & Ince On Pre Season Camp

The Tom's Huddlestone and Ince have spoken about their first training camp with Hull City.

The players are currently being put through their paces in Portugal, and although Huddlestone was on loan with us last season, he wasn't with us for the pre season preparations.

Speaking to the Official Site Huddlestone explained.

'It's been good so far. Everybody is getting to know the new lads and we know this trip is going to give us more strength going into the new season. The hot weather is exactly what the manager was looking for because that gets the heart rate going more than it would back home. There's already been a lot of hard work and by the look of things, all of the lads have come out here in very good shape and that is a good thing because we're going to be playing a competitive game three weeks earlier than normal with the Europa League.'

With the qualifier on the horizon there's certainly a greater priority in getting into good shape this pre season, and the club are clearly doing all they can to make sure that we are ready for the earlier than usual kick off.

Fellow Tom, Ince, is training with us for the first time since his summer arrival, and being one of the newcomers to the camp, he's spoken about how welcome he's been made to feel by the group, and how ideal it is that we are away from home at the minute because it does help newbies to integrate with the group quicker.

'The first couple of days couldn't have gone any better. The players and staff have been great and I've bedded in quickly which always helps. That's always the hardest thing when you go to a new club, you don't want to be the outsider, but the lads have taken me in and it has been fantastic.'

Ince goes on to say that he figured out quickly that we had a really good bunch of players at the club, and he describes out Irish contingent as a 'bit crazy' but that's just helped him settle in with the banter and the spirit we have in the playing staff.
