Evandro Return Against Everton?

Evandro could potentially give Hull a welcome boost ahead of the trip to Everton by making his return to the City squad for the first time since sustaining his calf strain against Arsenal last month.

Marco Silva has been without the former Porto forward for games against Burnley, Leicester and Swansea with the boss admitting Evandro has been missed.

He was quoted by the Hull Daily Mail as saying.

'It's not been easy for us. He's an important player who arrived and made a very good impact in the team. He is able to play differently to the other midfielders in our squad. He's an experienced player who also gives us important things with the ball. He brings a good spirit as well.'

Silva has great faith in Evandro having worked with him at Estoril but the boss is hopeful of him making his return soon, seemingly playing down the chances of this against Everton though.

'He had one problem during the week before Arsenal and during the game, and until now he has not been 100 per cent to train with us. I hope in the next week we will have some news to give you. It's not really serious, a small problem in the calf, but he's not 100 per cent. I hope, like I hope for all the players, that he will be close to training free soon.'

With Oumar Niasse ineligible to face his parent club and Dieumerci Mbokani sidelined with a hamstring injury Abel Hernandez should lead the line for Hull at Goodison Park as City aim to end a 13 game run without an away win.

Adama Diomande is another option but if Evandro can be involved it'll help. However, his return would seem more likely to come after the international break when West Ham visit the KCOM Stadium on 1st April.
