Tymon Signs For Stoke After Hull Exit

Tymon Signs For Stoke After Hull Exit

Having seen Hull confirm the club had 'reluctantly allowed' Josh Tymon to leave it has been announced by Stoke the England U20 international had joined them.

Tymon makes a quicker than anticipated, albeit expected in the end, return to the Premier League having put pen to paper on a contract at Stoke.

A compensation agreement is still needed, as our friends at Vital Stoke inform us:

After all the speculation surrounding Josh Tymon's switch from Hull City to Stoke City this summer, the club announced his signing yesterday.

The 18 year old left back started four top flight games for Hull last year with an additional appearance as a substitute, and he also took in two FA Cup games - scoring his maiden goal in the victory over Swansea - and five further showings in the League Cup.

Capped at England U17 and U18 levels, he was called into the U20 squad for the Toulon Tournament in May and played in all five games as England retained the trophy.

Having been on scholarship terms with Hull, he now signs his first professional deal at the Bet365 Stadium and with it seeming that no fee was agreed, Hull will be entitled to training compensation.

Yes, it was disappointing to lose a player of Tymon's ability and future potential but players come and players go, which is something you get used to and are less phased by as time goes by.

That isn't to say the full back will not be missed at the KCOM Stadium though.
