Dawson - Hull Will Bounce Back

Michael Dawson has said that Hull City's players will react positively following our defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers in midweek.

Hosting the side at the KCOM Stadium on Tuesday evening for the three two defeat, Dawson knew the game could've gone either way on the evening and whilst there was obviously disappointment following the game, he knew we could take positives and speaking to the Official Site following the game, he said that he was confident we would bounce back in the next game against Queens Park Rangers this coming weekend.

'It could have been different against Wolves - Fraizer Campbell had a chance at 2-1 down where John Ruddy has made a great save and Abel hit the post with a header - but that is football and we have to pick ourselves up. We said in the dressing room after the game that there will be highs and lows over the next eight or nine months. You're always disappointed when you lose a game because you always know that you could have done better.'

Dawson went on to say.

'We'll look at where we can improve over the next couple of days, and we're still a relatively new group that is still building. Players are still coming in and we have some young players bedding in as well. That takes time. Unfortunately we lost a game on Tuesday night, but we will go again on Saturday at QPR.'

Reflecting on the result itself, Dawson also said he felt we had deserved something from the game.

'I thought we deserved something from the game. Their opening goal was an absolute worldy and they are a good team. I think there were a lot of positives to take from our second half performance, but their third goal killed it really. Then we got the penalty to bring it back to 3-2 in added time and at that point, you're thinking we just need a couple more minutes to send me and Michael Hector up front and get the ball into their box. There wasn't time for that. It was a tough game and a disappointing one to lose.'
