Larsson - It's Down To The Players
Midfielder Seb Larsson has said it's down to the players on the pitch to turn around Hull City's form as we go into the weekend's clash with Birmingham City.
With a midweek defeat to Preston North End extending our winless run to five games and leaving us in 17th place in the Championship table, Larsson told the Official Site as he met with the media ahead of this weekend's game that with nine points from ten games, ultimately it was down to the players to take the responsibility of turning our form around.
'We`re not where we want to be or should be in the table and that`s something only the players on the pitch can rectify. The only way to do that is to work hard in training day in, day out, applying ourselves correctly and believing in what we`re trying to achieve.'
Larsson went on to say.
'I always think that if we`re not winning games, then us players on the pitch aren`t doing enough - individually and collectively. That`s the way I think you have to look at it. We all have to step up and play better - myself included. We all have to do more to help the team and that is what I and the rest of the team are going to try and do.'
With plenty of games remaining in the second tier this season, Larsson knew there was plenty of time to turn things around and hopefully we can get that process started this weekend.
'We still have plenty of games left to turn things around this season, but we can`t wait too long to start picking up points. We can all sit down and say we`ve deserved points here and there but at the end of the day you look at the final score - that`s the most important thing. We have to do whatever it takes to get back to winning ways on Saturday. It`s very important we do so to make sure we go into the international break in good spirits and bring the feel-good factor back to the place.'
