Random quote: I was watching the Blackburn game on TV on Sunday when it flashed on the screen that George (Ndah) had scored in the first minute at Birmingham. My first reaction was to ring him up. Then I remembered he was out there playing. "Ade Akinbyi"

Hull City are set to be without striker Matty Fryatt as they prepare for the Coca-Cola Championship season to kick-off at the KC Stadium on Saturday

I find it almost unbelievable that the last 9 threads on these boards have not garnered one reply.

With regards to this thread we appear to have run over a bus-load of Chinamen to suffer such shocking bad luck prior to our first game of the season.
We have young Ben Amos in Goal but new signing Eldin Jacupovic is out with injury.
Sone Aluko has no registration so will be sat in the stands.
Our 'star-larker' Matty Fryatt is out with an Achilles injury.
Dawson is also out as is Oli and Hobbs of course.
McLean will start but with Simpson on the bench I am sure that Brighton will not be quivering in their socks.
Brighton are without Will Buckley but Mackail-Smith has apparently made a 'wonder' recovery and will start.
Although originally predicting a 1-0 win for us I will be happy with a draw.

Here we go then, its here at last. Lets hope the new season card infrastructure has been tested to the nth degree and the stewards know how to get us all in ok!

As for the possible line-up, I'm just pleased we haven't started against Leicester.

Seems like an age since we were last at the KC. Looking beyond the personel on the pitch, Im looking for a statement of intent in the play. Im predicting a draw, but hoping for a draw with some bite and some promise. Having said that, we might just end up stood outside the stadium as the turnstiles system overloads!

Well I must admit I didnt see a win coming at halftime - Great goal and incredible foresight from Koren for the throughball. Amos looked shakey but kept his clean sheet, Rosenior is obviously not quite fit but wouldnt swap him for any other defender in the Championship. Thought Proscewiz looked behind the pace to be honest - had a good few ideas on knock downs but an awful first touch. Koren grew into the Captains role as the game went on and I thought he had a good game. Brighton must have gone back down south feeling like they were robbed!

My rello's, who went to the game, were far from impressed with Proschwitz. One said that he should have been arrested half way through the game for impersonating a footballer!
Disturbing news as most reports are not rating him at all.
Let's hope the guy comes good.
The attendance was far from encouraging and will only be improved by some goals.
Looking forward to the 'highlights' of the Championship games as fans were raving about Korens 'miraculous' through-pass that set Dudgeon away for the pass to Simpson resulting in the goal.
I watched the Newcastle v Spurs and Man City v Southampton games and must say I was very impressed with Newcastle and Southampton who both played attacking football.
Let's hope we can up our game on Wednesday night.
