Queens Park Rangers 0-1 Hull City
Hull's 2014/15 premier league season got off to a winning start at the weekend.
Queen Park Rangers entertained Hull on Saturday afternoon to kick-off the season with us coming back with a 1-0 win at Loftus Road.
Alejandro Faurlin could have, and maybe should have, done better with a chance that he had for the hosts with Joey Barton curling an effort into the side netting, and not the goal with Steven Caulker having a header cleared off the line by summer signing Andy Robertson.
In what was a rare chance early in the second half James Chester's (52) header was enough to break the deadlock with Chester much stronger than former England international Rio Ferdinand.
Perhaps QPR earning a point would have been fair and when a penalty was awarded for an apparent Chester handball from a cross from substitute Junior Hoilett they had this chance. Allan McGregor guessed the right way to save Charlie Austin's spot kick.
A first win at Loftus Road since 1963 was great news but the first half injury to Robert Snodgrass definitely wasn't!
