Juniors defeat in 3rd round
With Michael Byron ineligible, and Brewster Frizell injured, City striker Nathan Hotte had to move from striker to Centre back - however, this was a position he has played before towards the end of the reserve league last season.

Frank Belt was also missing after being injured during the 2-0 victory at Chesterfield.

Burnley took the lead early through Cayne Hanley's strike after six minutes.

Close to half time, Lamplough and McGarry combined for Bennett to have a chance which squirmed through the keepers hand and sent the clubs in level at 1-1 at half-time.

City then took the lead on 57 minutes through a controversial penalty won by Hotte. Captain Bennett steped up and scored the penalty to put the Tigers in the lead.

The lead didn't last long and hanley equalised, heading in from a corner.

With ten minutes remaining, a cross across goal was turned in at the far post by Ali Akbar for 3-2.

City pushed forward but couldn't find a reply against a stubborn Burnley defence, who now progress to face Fulham in the next round.
