Wolves Tickets - A Rip Off?

Wolves Tickets - A Rip Off?
Hull City`s away fixture at Wolverhampton Wanderers has been made all ticket for City fans. The match takes place on Monday 9th April with a 3p.m kick-off.

The travelling City fans will be housed in the lower tier of the Steve Bull stand, with an initial allocation of 1,318 having been set aside for Tigers fans wishing to attend this fixture.

The club will be selling tickets in the following order;

Monday 26th March - Tickets on sale to Season Ticket holders only (one per pass)

Thursday 29th March - Tickets on sale to Season Ticket holders, Tigers Lottery members and OSC members (one per pass/membership).

Friday 30th March - Any remaining tickets will be placed on general sale.

Remarkably, Wolves are charging 27 pounds for an adult ticket, whilst Under 17`s students and Seniors are charged 17 for entry into the game.

With today`s current debates surrounding the price of football, it is sad to see such an extortionate price being asked for a match ticket. City chairman Adam Pearson has been one of a number of chairmen to take a lead in reducing or freezing ticket prices, and City fans were delighted to hear that ticket prices had been slashed for the up-coming home fixture against Colchester United. Whilst Wolves charge such high prices, an adult can watch Hull City versus Colchester United for only 10 on April 14th as one of the clubs "four" local ticket promotions during the season.

Adam Pearson`s decision in the past to reduce ticket prices has resulted in the KC being host to a bumper crowd, and with the visit of Colchester, another twenty-thousand plus crowd will be expected as City bid for Championship survival.

The price of a football ticket has steadily increased over the past decade but these must start to decline if the football club doesn`t want to alienate their own fans. Fortunately for us Hull City fans, we have a chairman who has the sense to do so.
